Tomorrow 19 October 2015, I will be in Brescia for a seminar on the Food Information to Consumer Regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011) organized by the public laboratory IZS Lombardia and Emilia Romagna “Bruno Ubertini” and destined to competent authorities, veterinarians, biologists and sanitary professionals in general.
The seminar will be introduced by Prof. Carlo Bottari and my excellent friend Prof. Pietro Manzini (University of Bologna) will do a brief overview over the decisions of the European Court of Justice on food labelling matters in the last 20 years. After that I will offer a complete explanation about the content of the Regulation, about the actual situation regarding the sanctions regime in Italy and the latest clarification received from the EU Commission and our Ministries.
