Co-formulants are substances or preparations that, although present in a plant protection product or in an adjuvant, constitute neither active substances nor safeners or synergists.

โžก๏ธ The 12 substances are: acetaldehyde, propylene oxide, cumene, dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D6), decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5), octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), bumetrizole, distillates (petroleum), solvent-dewaxed light paraffinic, 3-chloroallyl chloride of methenamine (CTAC), phosphinic acid bis(perfluoro-C6-12-alkyl) derivatives, 1,4-dioxane and 2-(4-tert-butylbenzyl) propionaldehyde.

The Regulation also establishes a threshold of 0.1% w/w, or a specific limit for CMR substances, within which such co-formulants are tolerated only as unintentional impurities.
