The INNECO (16th-19th December 2016) is the biggest Youth Entrepreneurship conference in Greece, which is organized for the first time in Thessaloniki and aims to be established as an institutional event that will take place recurrently every year.
The concept of the INNECO , as named by the initials “International NE Cοnference”, is envisaged in order to attract public from all the economic sectors with international prominent speakers distinguished in their field, founders of innovative enterprises, executives of big and renowned companies as well as distinct business personalities that someone can rarely find and meet, let alone in the same conference, with speeches that can inspire every person who is doing business or is thinking of becoming a new entrepreneur.
It is organised by Club NE, the biggest association in the Greek business domain, and backed by Yes Europe, The European conference for young entrepreneurs, and I really thank you the organising committee and Charalampos Tziogas for inviting me here and make this event possible.
The discussion is developing at really high level on topics like leadership, entrepreneurship, communication, strategy, venture capitalism. neural sciences, language, big data, transparency, sustainability, Brexit and Grexit, and I’m seriously impressed by the talented group of speakers I have the privilege to be working with. I would really love to see my young fellow Italians engaging in similar events, with the same energy and commitment.
The mantra today, in countries like Greece, Italy, Portugal and many others, is the word “CRISIS”: but “crisis” it’s only the justification we are giving ourselves to not take action and responsibility.
In “crisis” stands opportunities and this event is a slap in the face of the crisis from the Greek youth: the best reaction I could have ever imagined.
This event is a strong answer to all the ones are playing with people’s fears and are tearing apart the European Union system for personal or local interest. This event it’s a call to action to everyone, and a huge opportunity to bring the right environment to make business culture flourish again in the country.
Because, in the end, entrepreneurship shape the society: entrepreneurship answer needs, realise dreams and is fundamentally driven not by the mere profit, but by a vision.
The young entrepreneurs, in this hard times, have the chance and the moral responsibility to embrace the crisis, adapt to the changes and shape the future of our society, because the economic models we all know are destined to disappear.
The human being is the only animal which never really adapted to our planet: on the contrary, we could say that is actively trying to destroy it from several centuries. The time to invert the trend is now.
So, please, take action, go out, speak with people and help us to shape a better future. To quote my friend Nelson Fernandes, there’s no “but…” :
My speech, tonight at 7 p.m., will be about food frauds and how to fix some major issues in the food supply chain. Transparency, globalisation, IT applications, innovation and brand protection will be the key points of my contribute, and hopefully we can exchange some thought about my personal experience (started in July 2013…CRISIS…) and business model.
