First of all, for those of you who have not noticed on LinkedIn, the question is: what’s “Food-Orbit”?!
Food-Orbit is our last endeavor, started at the end of 2022 with the aim to become the one-stop shop where legal, scientific, and communication expertise cross pathways to solve the problems surrounding the food supply chain.
Together with Bert Popping, Carmen Diaz-Amigo, and Francesco Montanari, we can bring you a century of combined expertise in the food sector, both with private and public clients. You can check our broad set of legal and scientific services on the website, but recently we can summarize what we are doing by focusing on 3 topics:
- novel foods evaluations
- upcycled ingredients
- safety and regulatory status of plant-based proteins
That is why we went to Frankfurt at the end of November, challenged by ice and snow, for the Food Ingredients Europe: to speak with companies developing such ingredients, grasp the latest developments and needs, and definitely try to help them, especially in getting access to the hyper-regulated EU market.
We noticed a lot of potential interest, especially from companies outside the EU, in particular established in Asia and North America. Here below three short clips with our thoughts:
