Webinar – Brazilian legislation: General and nutrition labelling (20th Nov. 2019)

In cooperation with Arcadia International we are proud to offer a webinar on food labelling legislation in Brazil.

The webinar aims to provide an overview of the regulatory framework on food labelling of prepacked foods applicable in Brazil, covering all the general mandatory requirements, nutrition information and claims.

The present webinar will focus, among others, on the RDC No 259/2002 – Technical Regulation on Labelling of Prepacked Foodstuffs and RDC No 360/2003 – Technical Regulation on Nutrition Labelling of Prepacked foods. It will also provide some insights on ongoing policy discussions that may impact national food labelling requirements (e.g., nutrition signposting/warnings)

Duration: estimated 2 h webinar (plus Q&A time) to facilitate direct interaction between the speaker and the participants. Language: English.

Questions will be put forward in real time in the webinar’s chat and the speaker will answer during the presentation or at the end of it. If you are not too shy you will have also the opportunity to place your questions live during the Q&A time.

After the webinar you will receive the presentation, together with the recording and a set of bonus materials (e.g. guidance, legislation…).

Francesco Montanari is a food lawyer with a PhD. EU law and almost 20 years of the experience in the food sector. He currently heads the Lisbon office of the agri-food chain consultancy Arcadia International where he is responsible for a multidisciplinary regulatory team that combines law and science. Francesco and his team provide tailored advice to private and public clients for the EU market and all Portuguese-speaking countries, including Brazil.
