Chicago 3-4 October 2013 – Food Regulatory Compliance Summit – Momentum Events

On 3-4 October 2013 in Chicago will take place a great Food Regulatory Compliance Summit, organized by Momentum Events, where I will be honoured to speak. The conference will be at the Wit Hotel, a charming design hotel in the centre of Chicago.

I am going to speak in the following discussion panel, on 4th October:

International Food Regulatory Discussion – “Addressing key risks presented by the globalization of the food supply chain and the impact of new FSMA requirements on US food imports”, with Sarah Roller, Chair-Food & Drug Law Practice, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and Sara Zborovski, Partner at Gilbert’s LLP.

I’ll give a brief insight on the following arguments:

• Exploring the EU and challenges surrounding the European supply chain;
• Addressing the testing and control system in the EU and the impact it may have on the US supply chain;
• Dissecting the latest food legislation in the EU;
• Lessons learned from the horse meat scandal.

We’ll also take a look at the new proposal of EU regulation on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of  food and feed law.
