The scope of the webinar will be to examine the content of the Directive (EU) 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment (c.d. SUP Directive). It will be clarified which kind of materials and articles are covered by this legal act and the implications for both food packaging companies and food manufacturers.
A specific focus will be dedicated to the Italian situation, where specific exemptions – not in line with the EU Directive – have been granted in the Italian implementing act (Legislative Decree n. 196/2021). This will be of great interest for both domestic and foreign companies since it is creating tensions with the EU Commission and disruptions in the common market.
Our technical expert Dr. Simone Volpe, will be the main speaker, supported by the strategic vision and expertise of Cesare Varallo.
The formula will be the usual one: 2 h including Q&A. Slides and full Zoom recordings will be released at the end of the event, together with relevant legislation/guidance documents and a certification of attendance.
