Iran halts all food exports

On March 3, 2026, the Iranian government announced a total ban on the export of all food and agricultural products to prioritize domestic supply and stabilize local prices. This immediate measure follows earlier restrictions on specific staples and may lead to increased fraud risks, particularly in the pistachio sector.
