This week on the RASFF database (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) we have four recalls from consumers in EU, between the alert notifications.
– Pathogenic micro-organisms: Listeria Monocytogenes in chilled smoked salmon, following an official control on the market. Origin and notification from Ireland, distributed also to France, Germany and Luxembourg;
– Pathogenic micro-organisms: Listeria Monocytogenes in smoked salmon, following a company’s own check. Origin and notification from Ireland, distributed also to France;
– Pathogenic micro-organisms: Listeria Monocytogenes in salmon salad, following a company’s own check. Origin and notification from Belgium, distributed also to France and Luxembourg;
– Pesticide residues: carbendazim in white yams, following a company’s own check. Origin Ghana (via Italy), notification from France.
Between the alert notifications, followed by a withdrawal from the market of the product:
– Biotoxins: Azaspiracid Shellfish Poisoning (AZP) toxins in cooked mussels in white wine sauce, following a food poisoning. Origin Netherlands and Denmark, notification from Switzerland;
– Pathogenic micro-organisms: Salmonella enteritidis in chilled poultry meat, following a company’s own check. Origin Czech Republic and Poland, notification from Poland, distributed also to Bulgaria;
– Allergens: traces of egg in tripe sauce, following an official control on the market. Origin and notification from Italy, distributed also to Germany;
– Mycotoxins: aflatoxins in ready to eat infant food, following an official control on the market. Origin Spain, notification from Netherlands.

For food contact material we have a notification of information for follow-up and one of information for attention, followed by a recall from consumers, for:
– too high level of overall migration from pVC wrap film from Switzerland, via Turkey, notification from Greece, following an official control on the market;
– migration of primary aromatic amines from plastic kitchen utensil from Spain, following an official control on the market. Notification from Germany, distributed also to Austria, Netherlands, Slovakia and Slovenia.
For feed we have a notification of information for follow-up, followed by a recall from consumers;
– Salmonella Newport, paratyphi b and typhimurium in frozen cat food from the Netherlands. Notification from Belgium.
