Food contact materials seminar – Savona (3/3/2016)

On 3rd March 2016, I will participate as speaker in an interesting event organised by the Chemical Labs of the Chamber of Commerce of Torino and Savona. The event will be in Savona and the language Italian.

I will speak about food business operators liability, sanctions provided by the national regulatory framework, safety concerns related to food packaging and case studies from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

There will be speeches from the competent sanitary authority about official controls on the market, with Davide Bordonaro and Paola Sfacteria, and case studies from the industry and the retailers: I am sure that my friend Bruno Simonetta will give you a great overview about the complexity you have to face managing hundreds of different materials at retail stage.

Conference: E-commerce and social networks for food companies – Foodlawlatest case study

On 10th and 11th December 2015, the Chemical Laboratory of the Chamber of Commerce of Turin will organise a seminar about how to promote your food products via internet. The venue will be the Laboratory in Turin, via Ventimiglia 165.

I will have a brief presentation on 10th December about how to maximize the benefits of e-commerce and social networks avoiding any legal risk related to advertising, labelling and other IP aspects. I will speak also about the role of social media in communicating the risk and managing crisis situation.

In the afternoon there will be a round table with other blog/website owners, where I will have the chance to explain the history and growth of Foodlawlatest.com. The panel will be moderate by Marcella Zanellato, a journalist and social media strategist.
